We also cover the often-daunting task of ballasting points, sharing techniques that will help you achieve reliable operation and realistic results.
By the end of the episode, you'll have the foundations of a model railway taking shape, with temporary power connected and the first trains running, ready for the next stage of the build.

Bringing The Railway To Life...
With the foundations complete, it's time to turn the layout into a working railway. In Episode 2, we focus on wiring the track, covering the essential connections needed to keep trains running reliably. We then move on to constructing and painting a detailed JSModels factory kit, adding the first scenic features to the project.
To complete this stage of the build, we return to the track to weather this before starting the ballasting process, helping to transform the railway from a collection of components into a layout that is beginning to look and feel like the real thing.
