Ellis Clark Trains Announce L&Y Class 21 'Pug' for both O and 00 Gauge!

In a surprise announcement, Ellis Clark Trains have recently revealed their latest O Gauge locomotive - the Lancashire & Yorkshire Class 21, perhaps better known as the 'Pug'.
These delightful 0-4-0s are set to feature mainly die-cast metal construction, firebox glow, full inside working motion as well as pre-fitted speakers and stay alive capacitors. Due to arrive in Q3 of 2026 the RRP for the DCC Ready models is set at £325 with pricing still to be confirmed for DCC Sound models.
But that's not all! Ellis Clark Trains have become so fond of the Pug's that they're releasing them in 00 Gauge too! Featuring widely the same specifications (minus the inside motion...for obvious reasons) these are sure to be a massive upgrade on the previous Hornby/Dapol model which dates back to the 1980s. The 00 gauge examples are set arrive in Late 2026/Early 2027 with an RRP of £150 with pricing for sound fitted examples once again to be announced later.
Both the O and 00 Gauge examples feature a nice selection of liveries, spanning both from the locos L&Y days, through to British Railways and even some nice industrial liveries too.
With the high standard Ellis Clark Trains has achieved with it's previous models, this latest reveal is set to excite a lot of modellers across both scales!
