A Slice Of Sodor - Episode 4: A Working Level Crossing!

There's still one section of track to lay on my recreation of Rev. W. Awdry's model railway of Ffarquhar - the final station on Thomas The Tank Engine's Branchline. That is the section up by the level crossing and I have big plans for this area. 

With a custom 3D printed base for the embedded track, and working crossing gates that open and close automatically thanks to built in block detection that is just the start for this part of Ffarquhar. The scenics really begin in earnest now as the road and street scene is created with the inclusion of a cottage and a handy local pub. But will it all work as intended?
