With the baseboards constructed and the track laid, my attention now turns to the wiring so I can get trains running! On the surface Ffarquhar may seem like a fairly simple layout but underneath I'm diving into the world of Block Detection and computer control automation to keep trains running at exhibitions.
That's not all, I'll also be tackling the points, making sure each one is motorise and finally I need a way to uncouple locos and rolling stock. Having used a few different techniques for this in the past on previous layouts, I've now refined my approach even further to allow for hands free uncoupling.
